Pastie Care, Wear, and Repair
Application & Removal
These pasties are infinitely reusable as long as they are well cared
for. To apply your pasties, you can use spirit gum, carpet tape, or a
toupe tape like Topstick (our preference!). When applying, make sure the application area is clean, dry, and free
of lotions and oils. If you have a significant amount of hair around
your nipple to the point where the skin is obscured by the hair, you
will need to use a hair removal method of your choice before continuing
because a lot of hair will interfere with the sticking power of any
application method.
Once you are clean and dry, apply the pastie tape or spirit gum to the outside edges of your pasties. Do not apply any of the sticky stuff to the center of the pastie, ouch! Then, apply the pastie to your chest by pressing and holding for at least 30 seconds in order to get a good seal on your skin. Repeat with the other side.
Now, admire yourself in the mirror and give a little shake! You did it!Once you are clean and dry, apply the pastie tape or spirit gum to the outside edges of your pasties. To remove, gently pull the pastie from your skin. Holding your skin taut while you pull can make this process easier. Some redness on your skin from the tape or spirit gum is normal. Remove any tape or residue from the back of your pastie. Don’t try to reuse old tape, it will not hold. If you like, you can gently wipe down the back of your pasties with a damp cloth and dry them. Return them to their storage bag and place them somewhere you can admire them while you dream of the next time you can wear them out.
Oh No! I Lost a Stone!
Don’t panic, your pasties come with extra rhinestones in case you
need to repair them. We recommend using E-6000 Fabri-Fuse as the glue to
repair these. You can also use regular E-6000, but be sure to use a
respirator and work in a well-ventilated area. Super glue will work just
fine as well.
Apply a small drop of glue to the pastie and wait 10-15 seconds for it to tack up. Then, using a wax pencil, tweezers, or your fingers, drop the stone into place and press it down gently. Then, let it dry undisturbed. You’re a rhinestoning pro!
